Does Taste of Tahoe Operate Year Round?

Yes – We run tours all year.

Where Does Each Walking Tour Start and End?

Each tour begins at the ski chair in Heavenly Ski Resort where Friday Ave ends by the Heavenly gondola.  The tours end at the last restaurant, a few blocks away.

How Long Does the Tour Take?

Tours last about 2.5 hours with plenty of time to savor every bite. Our tours move at moderate pace. Please inform us in advance if members of your party have physical restrictions or limitations. (including wheelchairs, impaired walking, etc)

What Types of Food are Served on the Tour?

All kinds. All delectable signature dishes from a range of cuisines and cultures. At every stop you’ll enjoy downright delicious fare.

How do I Pay/Book a Taste of Tahoe Foodie Tour?

 Cash is not accepted. Some tours will sell out due to limited seating. We recommend purchasing tickets at least four hours before start time.

Are Beverages Served on the Tour?

Water is served at all locations. When booking your tour, we offer a upgrade cocktail package.  The upgrade includes a preselected signature cocktail at various stops. Alcohol or additional beverages not included in the tour may be purchased separately.

Are Children Welcome on the Tour?

Yes! Children and teenagers are most welcome on the tour.  However they must have their own ticket.  We require all guests to purchase a ticket whether they participate in the food tastings or not.  Non-paying individuals will not able to join the tour.  No discounted tickets are offered. 

Can you Accommodate Dietary Restrictions, Food Allergies, and Vegetarian options?

We take allergies and dietary restrictions very seriously. We are working on putting together a vegan vegetarian tour to address this need, however it is not offered at this time. If any member of your party has a severe food allergy let us know in advance at time of booking.

Are Tours Offered in English Only?

At this time our tours are only in english. If you would like to make arrangements for your own interpreters, that can be done at your discretion and tour cost. We only ask that you let us know in advance.

Which Restaurants Will be Visited on the Tour?

We will visit multiple restaurants which have been carefully chosen for their delicious signature dishes.

Can I get a Refund, Reschedule or Transfer my Ticket?

Once purchased, tickets are nonrefundable. Tickets however, are transferable to another guest and can be rescheduled for the exact same tour.

What are the COVID Protocols?

Taste of Tahoe takes health and safety very serious. All of our guides are fully vaccinated. The guest take the tour and their own discretion and risk.  Guests may be required to wear masks and social distance depending on the establishments’ policies.

Am I Expected to Leave Gratuity at the Restaurants?

The gratuity is taken care of at the restaurants. If you would like to give your tour guide a gratuity, that is entirely up to you.
